A few more photos from yesterday at the #CBCA19 Awards in Deakin Edge at Federation Square. 1. The Older Readers category shortlist. Huge congratulations to Clare Atkins on her Book of the Year for 'Between Us'! 2. Professor Margot Hillel, Chair of the CBCA National Board, starting the proceedings (photo credit: Text Publishing). 3. Older Readers Honour Books. Yay! Congrats to @karenfoxleeauthor on her Honour Award as well. 4. @stevespargo from @walkerbooksaus and myself watching on as MC @bytonywilson interviews the school students about to present the Older Readers category. 5. Me being presented with my certificate by author James Moloney who received the 2019 CBCA Nan Chauncy Award. 6. Huge day today at the #CBCA19 Awards and I was just kicking back in my pj's when this gorgeous bunch of flowers arrived from @acrophony to celebrate #SmallSpaces becoming a CBCA Honour book. Thank you so much, Nicola! Best editor and book champion I could ask for. ♥️ I am incredibly proud of both of us and the work we put into this book.
